AutoFS prepares ICAI Guidance Note financial statements only for eligible Non-Corporate Entities. This guide covers Import Trial Balance, Group Ledgers, Financial Statements, Notes & Policies, and Review & Issue.
After you add a client and open a financial year, five steps take you from the Trial Balance to issued statements.
After you add an eligible Non-Corporate Entity and open a financial year, pull the Trial Balance from Tally Prime or upload Excel/CSV. AutoFS checks Dr = Cr before grouping starts.
Accept the suggested Guidance Note heads and review anything ungrouped. Every non-zero ledger waits for a person; groupings carry forward.
Prepare the Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss and cash flow from the approved grouping, with comparatives beside the current year.
Review derived schedules, notes and accounting policies. The preparer corrects and concludes instead of re-typing them.
Clear review points, lock the year and download Excel or PDF. AutoFS records a user-obtained UDIN; it does not generate or verify UDIN.
Uploading a Trial Balance is the quickest way in and always works — no install required.
A sample Trial Balance template is available on the upload screen — start from it if you are exporting from another system.
The Tally Connector pulls the Trial Balance straight from Tally Prime on your own machine, so you skip the export-and-upload step. Uploading a Trial Balance is always available as a fallback.
Install the Chrome extension
Install the AutoFS Tally Connector from the Chrome Web Store, on the same computer where Tally Prime runs.
Open AutoFS and log in
Sign in to AutoFS in the same Chrome profile and follow the connection status shown on the Tally page.
Enable Tally's HTTP server
In Tally: F1 → Settings → Connectivity → Client/Server Configuration → set "TallyPrime acts as" = Both, Port 9000.
Select the company
Choose the open Tally company you want to import from.
Pull the Trial Balance
Trigger the pull from the Tally page — the extension reads directly from Tally and sends it into Group Ledgers.
Tally isn't running
Open Tally Prime and load the company first. The extension reads from a running Tally — start it, then pull again.
Extension shows "Not Installed"
Install the AutoFS Tally Connector from the Chrome Web Store on the Chrome profile and computer where Tally Prime is running, then refresh the Tally page.
Extension installed but not connected
Make sure you are signed in to AutoFS in the same Chrome profile, then follow the connection status shown on the Tally page.
Company mismatch
If the company list looks wrong, make sure the right company is open in Tally and re-select it. Switching companies in Tally is fine — just re-pull.
Prefer not to install anything?
You never have to. Uploading an Excel or CSV Trial Balance reaches the same Group Ledgers through Review & Issue path.
Group Ledgers assigns every Trial Balance ledger to a Guidance Note reporting head. A suggestion is not a conclusion — review every non-zero ledger before preparing statements.
Policies and derived note schedules are part of the pack, not an afterthought.
When grouping, statement faces, notes and policies are ready, clear review points, lock the year and download Excel or PDF. Always open the file and check it before sharing it onward.
